Privacy Policy

1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how Lucid (“the App”) handles your data.
Your privacy is important. Lucid is designed to work with minimal data collection and to keep your information as private as possible.
2. Permissions
Lucid may request the following permissions:
Screen Time / App Usage Access
- Used to detect when selected apps are opened
- Enables interruption, blocking, and usage insights
Notifications
- Used to send reminders or awareness prompts
These permissions are required for the App’s core functionality.
3. Data Usage
Lucid is designed to keep your data local and private.
- Your app usage data is processed on your device
- It is used only to provide features such as interruption logic, usage insights, and time tracking
4. Data Storage
- All core usage data is stored locally on your device
- We do not store this data on external servers
- We do not sell or share your data with third parties
5. Data Not Linked to Your Identity
At this time, Lucid does not collect personal data linked to your identity.
Lucid uses limited, anonymous analytics to improve the app. This data is linked only to a random identifier generated on your device, not to your identity. See section 8, “Analytics (PostHog)”, for details.
6. Subscriptions and Payments
If you purchase a subscription:
- Payments are processed entirely through Apple (App Store)
- We do not receive or store your payment information
- Subscription management is handled by Apple

7. Third-Party Services
Lucid uses one third-party service for analytics: PostHog (see section 8). We do not use advertising or cross-app tracking services.
If we add further third-party services, this Privacy Policy will be updated.
8. Analytics (PostHog)
To understand how Lucid is used and to improve the app, we use the analytics service PostHog, provided by PostHog Inc., 2261 Market Street #4008, San Francisco, CA 94114, USA. Data is processed and stored on PostHog's servers in the European Union (Frankfurt, Germany).
What we collect:
- App usage events, for example opening the app, completing onboarding, viewing the paywall, starting a trial, selecting apps to protect, and decisions made on the Lucid pause screen
- Technical information, such as device model, operating system version, app version, language and approximate country
- A random, anonymous identifier generated on your device
We do not collect your name, email address, contacts, or the content of other apps. Due to Apple's Screen Time framework, Lucid cannot see which specific apps you use or what you do inside them. Analytics data is not used for advertising, is not sold, and is not combined with data from other sources to identify you.
Purpose and legal basis: We use this data to find errors, understand which features are helpful and improve the app. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in analysing and improving our product (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) and, where required, your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR in conjunction with § 25 TDDDG).
Data transfer: PostHog may access data from the USA for support purposes. Such transfers are based on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. We have concluded a data processing agreement with PostHog.
Retention: Analytics data is kept only as long as necessary and in line with PostHog's data retention limits.
Your rights: You can object to this processing at any time by contacting us at getnovaapp@gmail.com. You also have the rights described in the section "Your rights" of this privacy policy.
9. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Control permissions through your device settings
- Stop using the App at any time
- Delete all local data by uninstalling the App
10. Data Retention
- App usage data remains on your device and is deleted when you uninstall the App.
- Anonymous analytics data is handled as described in section 8.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.
If changes are significant, we will inform users through the App.
